OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) is proud to announce a new accolade for Dr. Susan M. Odum, Senior Research Scientist at OCRI. The December issue of Orthopedics Today highlights Dr. Odum’s recent presentation at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, held in Dallas in November. Dr. Odum’s study indicates that patients undergoing a revision procedure to their total knee (TKA) replacements have had increases in body mass index (BMI) and obesity over time. Dr. Odum’s study indicates that obesity rates among patients undergoing a revision procedure to their total knee replacement have significantly increased over time.
