Education & OCRI

Research is our way of investing and advancing the future of orthopedics.  Much of the research conducted at the OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) has immediate and practical applications which in turn are shared with the next generation of orthopedic professionals.

Through OrthoCarolina’s dedicated Providers who choose to teach our OrthoCarolina Physician Fellows, Atrium Health Orthopedic Residents and a number of hopeful orthopedic students, we are proud to provide a variety of educational experiences.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.

SHARING KNOWLEDGE through education

Oscar Miller was the founder for an organization that evolved into the OrthoCarolina Research Institute. Through our annual educational symposiums, his legacy lives on. Oscar Miller Day provides quality educational opportunities to orthopedic surgeons and related healthcare professionals in our region.  Each year, the focus of the symposium is based on different topics in orthopedics.
