SPINE research

OrthoCarolina Spine research physicians utilize the latest research to provide the best care possible for their patients.  The Spine surgeons’ ongoing efforts to collaboratively design and conduct academic research studies have produced years of publications, presentations, book chapters and academic opportunities. The surgeons educate young physicians by engaging both Resident and Fellowship surgeons in their OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) studies.

In addition to academic research, OrthoCarolina Spine surgeons are involved in clinical trials to drive innovation in Spine devices and surgical techniques. By using these evolving techniques and methods, patients have access to the most cutting edge products not readily available to the general public.  Providing these options and alternatives allows our patients to have choices in the direction they would like to treat their condition.

My daughter was in an accident and her entire lumbar was broken in pieces.  She is fused from T11 to the pelvis.  She runs, plays volleyball now thanks to OrthoCarolina.
