The OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) was well represented in Chicago as 13 studies were presented as either a podium or poster at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ (AAOS) Annual Meeting.
Having studies accepted at such a competitive national meeting is a testament to the timely and relevant research coming out of OrthoCarolina.
Those studies represent work done in Hip and Knee research, Sports research, and OCRI’s Carolinas Opioid Reduction Effort (CORE) Project.
The CORE Project started a few years ago to in hopes of finding alternatives to opioids by reducing avoidable opioid prescribing and consumption in elective orthopedic surgery. We are pleased to be able to start sharing OCRI’s groundbreaking findings with the medical community.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the research projects below. This recognition is well deserved.
