February 19th, 2015

Please join us in welcoming two new faces to OCRI!

Mariah Andrews began her internship with us on February 2nd, and Shane Dulin joined us the following Monday on February 9th.

Mariah is currently finishing her last semester at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  Growing up in Winston-Salem, she participated in competitive dance, which was one of the reasons she chose to study exercise science.  Outside of school, Mariah loves outdoor activities such as hiking, jet skiing, kayaking, and working out.  She also spends time reading and teaching herself how to play the guitar.  Mariah will be graduating in May 2015 with a degree in exercise science and a minor in biology.  After graduation, she plans on getting her masters in biomedical science and then attending medical school.

Shane completed his degree a semester early at UNC Chapel Hill in December 2014.  He graduated with distinction with a Bachelors of Science in Biology.  Shane is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but moved to Charlotte when he was six years old.  He is pursuing entry to medical school and is interested in becoming an orthopedic surgeon.  His favorite hobbies include playing ice hockey and playing any kind of sport with his friends.
