Dr. Thomas Fehring of the OrthoCarolina Hip & Knee Center has been awarded an Orthopedic Research Education and Foundation (OREF) grant to conduct his study entitled, “Surgical Treatment of Chronic Periprosthetic Joint Infection: One-Stage Versus Two Stage.” The grant will provide OrthoCarolina Research Institute funding for three years to conduct the study.
The need for research on one-stage versus two-stage exchanges, as well as Dr. Fehring and the grant, are highlighted in a recent article in Orthopedics Today. For more information, see the full article.
